BB6: Grade Center Part 2
A sequel to course BB2, this course covers the use of the Total or Weighted Total columns to calculate the course grade for each student within the GradeCenter grade spreadsheet. This course shows you how use the simpler method to display a total of points as a score, percentage, and letter grade, how to adjust the “grade schema” table to correctly equate your scoring ranges to DePaul’s plus-and-minus letter grades. Then, using the more complex weighted percentage grading scheme, the course shows you how to properly categorize assignments for weighted percentage grading, and how to establish the formula in a Weighted Total column to compute a course grade based on percentage category grading. In preparation for this training, you should have taken BB1: Blackboard Basics and BB2: Grade Center Part 1 or you need equivalent experience.
Technology workshops are designed primarily for faculty. Staff are welcome to register if they have teaching assignments or if they are directly involved in assisting faculty in teaching and research.
