BB2: Grade Center Part 1
This hands-on-course focuses on the elementary aspects of the new GradeCenter. The course shows you what the student view of grades looks like at the MyGrades tool-link button, which displays your feedback and comments to students on graded work. We then show you how to navigate to the GradeCenter, eliminate unnecessary columns from your gradebook, create grade columns, re-sequence columns, and record grades and feedback comments. The session also shows you how you can use the GradeCenter to rapidly identify lagging student participation or performance and directly e-mail students within the GradeCenter, and how to locate grades automatically posted by graded Discussion Boards, electronically-submitted Assignments, and online exercises, and how to download grades to Excel. In preparation for this training, you should have taken BB1: Blackboard Basics or you need equivalent experience.
Technology workshops are designed primarily for faculty. Staff are welcome to register if they have teaching assignments or if they are directly involved in assisting faculty in teaching and research. However priority is given to faculty if registration exceeds the cap. If registration is full, please sign up for the wait list for current or future sessions.
