Blackboard Known IssuesKnown issuesThis is a list of known conflicts and issues with the Blackboard system at DePaul. Where possible, it includes the resolution for the issue. If you are experiencing problems, please review this list.Disabled users are listed in class rosters Symptoms: In Blackboard, when a user is enrolled in a course and is then disabled the user is still listed in the class roster. Resolution: This issue has not been resolved at this time. Blackboard will endeavor to solve this issue in a future release or software update. Emails sent through the Blackboard Learning System, to Yahoo and Hotmail accounts do not appear to be received Symptoms: Emails sent through the Blackboard Learning System, to Yahoo or Hotmail accounts, appear to be successful, but the intended recipient does not receive them. Resolution: If the junk mail filter is set to anything but default, the email gets put in the junk mail or trash folder. There are two solutions: 1) open the junk mail filter up to default, 2) place each professors email address on the safe list. QuickTime movies uploaded into a Blackboard item, fail to display in Netscape 6. Symptoms: QuickTime movies uploaded into a Blackboard item, fail to display in Netscape 6. When a QuickTime movie is included in a Blackboard item, the movie will display correctly under most browsers, but will fail under Netscape 6. Resolution: Please note that At this time, Netscape 6.x is not supported in Blackboard. Our QA department has not validated this. |
