Annotations

Using Annotations students can receive personalized attention from their instructor and classmates on a piece of writing or another piece of work. Be aware, however, that Annotations works both-ways: Your work may receive the suggestions and observations of students and instructors. But you might also be called upon to comment on the work of someone else.

Your instructor might provide guidelines for participation, but here are some hints anyway:

  • Add meaningful comments, refer to specific words, sentences or ideas
  • Suggest ways the author can clarify a point or resolve an issue
  • Provide positive comments for clear writing or innovative ideas
  • Use correct spelling and grammar; use respectful language.

The Annotations website is secure, meaning that participants must in before accessing a particular entry. Contents are not available to those outside the DePaul community.

Annotations Access

If your class is using Annotations, access the Annotations Application here.
